about the "Punting strategies", Distance vs hangtime and formations. How can we set them when we do not know the meaning of these terms that are available for us to pick ???February 13, 2011 at 09:09PM View BBCode
You don't need to be a coach, you just need to use some common sense. Distance vs. hangtime is explained in the grey italics underneath the punt strategy section. For zone 3 it couldn't list the yardlines, as you can change those for Zones 2 and 4. The formation with protect in it is the one that gives you the most protection and least downfield coverage, and the one with spread in it gives you the least protection and most downfield coverage.February 13, 2011 at 09:31PM View BBCode
Here is YOUR original thread:Originally posted by rsportgod
the reason they dont just put the numbers there is because YOU set the numbers. You can make them what you want. IF you put 40 in the box for zone 2 and 40 in the box for zone 4, then zone 3 is between the 40 and the 40......i really dont see the problem.....
and for the formation, if you put your pointer on the little question mark it gives you a brief description.
edited to add:
For distance vs. hangtime: Enter a number between 0 and 100, with 0 = maximum distance and 100 = maximum hangtime
Punts that may come close to the end zone are automatically angled toward the sideline in addition to the Zone strategy setting.
this is right below the kicking strategy on that page. It tells you if you want more distance put a number closer to 0, for more hangtime for your coverage, put in a higher number. Sorry, but I DONT WANT THEM TO TELL ME WHICH IS BEST....I WANT TO PLAY THE GAME!!!!!! Just my opinion..............

Also, considering that this thread was created at 11:45, using an exact quote from you in the past thread, made at 11:20, and was responded to by rsport at 11:30, WHY DOES THE THREAD EXIST?February 13, 2011 at 10:00PM View BBCode
Because you often misread the questions and think I am talking about the same thing Like the mistake you made about me mentioning the defensive stats. You went on and on about me posting it 6 times when I posted 2 times and then I posted a completely different question and you jump on me about posting the same thing again when it was completely different. The first two posts I made about missing defensive stats in box scores and i posted one in game site questions and one in enhancements. The next one I posted in which you jumped all over me was about defensive TEAM stats NOT BOXSCORE STATS.February 13, 2011 at 10:17PM View BBCode
So, when you quote yourself from one post to another it might mean something different? Fantastic.February 13, 2011 at 11:01PM View BBCode
I think its pretty clear that he doesn't like the game and he sounds like he would have been happier if it had never been released at all until perfect. Having been around simdynasty since like 2005, I have seen the baseball game improve greatly thanks to user suggestions. I would actually suggest that the Football sim, being necessarily more complex than baseball, is actually further along in development than baseball was when I first started.Pages: 1
