A lot of RBI's few HR

March 23, 2015 at 11:04PM View BBCode

I brought up a pretty good [url=http://simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=11343345]rookie[/url] this season on a pretty good team, he batted 8th all year until the last few games and amassed 91 RBI's while hitting only 5 HR, numbers not seen since the dead ball era. This has to be some of the most RBI's for the least amount of HR's. Does anyone else have something like this?

Lol thank you, It's kind of funny, you just never see it nowadays in SD or in MLB. I know Casey McGee 2 years ago had something like 3 homers and 75 driven in, and Loney had like 3 years of 13 homers and 90 driven in, it's a bit odd.

Tommy Herr of the 1985 St.Louis Cardinals had over 100 RBI while hitting just 8 HRs. He batted 3rd behind Vince Coleman and Willie McGee ('85 NL MVP).

110 SB wow, I guess all he had to do was put the ball in play to pick up a Ribbie. A lot of big 90's names there, Pendleton, Clark, Van Slyke, and of course the Wizard.

I have to tell you I'm a lot more impressed with his .400 OBP than his RBI total, I'd sure like to have my A+/C+ hitters put up those numbers, or my A+/B hitters for that matter .

He is 4 improves from A+ CvR and 1 from B- PvR, and like 3 from B+ PvL, but still, I think he was greatly benefited by having a pretty damn good lineup in front of him and some luck from ABE of course. I was almost going to bench him for the last game to keep the .400 OBP but he pulled a Ted Williams and went 1-4 with a BB to keep it.
