I only have him batting vs Lefties. He's barely A contact, and I'm not sure where he is in power, but with that speed especially I figured he'd be tearing it up.
I'm trying to look at it as a small sample size, but 470 at bats so far should tell me something, right? I mean, the lefty starters I face are maybe better than average, but the rest of my team hits as expected for their grades.

I feel your pain but ABE just doesn't roll the combo for him to succeed against Lefties.

I have wondered this stuff as well. The Answer I always get is "Letters don't lie." "It is a small sample size." and platoon never works well because the Lefty part of the platoon doesn't bat enough.I feel your pain but ABE just doesn't roll the combo for him to succeed against Lefties.

I'm still going to play him vs LHP. I think grades are all that matter, but it's been painful so far.

grades are all that matter. you should keep playing him against lefties. but even if he's a glorified A-/A- he should still be hitting better than that.

I have had success with platoons, I would keep playing him too.

An extra 10 hits or so and he'd be hitting .260, an extra 20 or so and he's hitting .280. That's a few seeing-eye singles here and there... or balls dropping in front of an outfielder. I'd ignore the results completely and go solely by grades/abilities.Pages: 1
